Peres Bhatt's of Mangalore.

As the legend speaks the actual surname of actual mangalorean peres bhatt is bhatt (a priestly konkana class) , there used to be two orphan children’s who’s parents expired due to some incident then later on these children’s were looked after by missionaries and were converted to Catholic and hence they adopted the surname of these missionaries that’s Peres and since bhatt was a priestly class they had kept their former surname bhatt and hence Peres Bhatt.

Today there are more than thousands of Peres Bhatt’s spread all around the world. Stretching from California in the West to Japan in the East.
